Noted was the lean towards more edgy bridal looks in addition to traditional princess silhouettes. It seems that Olivia Palermo sparked a trend for cropped white jumpers matched with a full length skirt, as was seen at Houghton, while at Reem Acra demure styling was balanced with bare upper stomachs and see through lace tops. At Delphine Manivet, bridal separates were given major play, appealing to the fashion-forward with sequined shorts, long capes and bohemian peasant sleeves. Heavier fabrics were also called in for duty; tweed, velvet and felt all made an appearance and we couldn’t help but wonder whether voluminous gowns such as these would coax some into planning a crisp mid-winter wedding.
